Minister of Youth and Sports receives President of the African Union Social Commission and President of the Union of African Sports Confederations (UCSA)

The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt Professor Ashraf Sobhi welcomed the Minister Amira al Fadhel President of the African Union Social Commission and Major General Ahmed Nasser President of the Union of Sports Confederations (UCSA) in his office in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The meeting focused on cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and the African Union through the Minister of Social Affairs and Major General Ahmed Nasser. It was agreed that there would be a unified plan of action for a better Africa on the occasion of the accession of Egypt to the presidency of the African Union in 2019/2020.

Professor Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt, presented the Ministry Shield to the Minister of Social Affairs of the African Union.2

Practicalities

Any Confederation legally constituted and which aims to oversee a known or recognized sport discipline and which is also made up of at least (18) eighteen national federations affiliated to their respective international federations and wishes to become an AASC member shall submit an application duly signed by the President of the said association to the AASC Executive Bureau together with the membership fees.
