UCSA President participates in the event of the International Tolerance Day
UCSA supports  ' No Fanaticism… Yes to Sportsmanship' initiative in cooperation with Egyptian Youth & Sports Ministry 
 
President of Association of African sports Confederations (AASC-UCSA), Major General Ahmed Nasser participated, on Monday, In the event marking the International Day for Tolerance at the invitation of the President of the African, Arab and Egyptian Union for Sports Culture, journalist Ashraf Mahmoud.  
 
The event took place in the Olympic Center in Maadi under the auspices of Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi in the presence of Director of the United Nations Information Office in Cairo, Mrs. Nagwa Lashin, and a host of prominent cultural, media and sports figures in Egypt and Africa. 
 For his part, President of Association of African sports Confederations (AASC-UCSA), Major General Ahmed Nasser stressed the need to enhance sportsmanship and uphold the values of tolerance in a way that preserves Egyptian and African sports without plunging into inciting intolerance or encouraging violence, wishing the prevalence of the well-known Egyptian tolerance spirit during the final African Championship between Ahli and Zamalek.
His Excellency has also contended his full support of the initiative launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports “No Fanaticism… Yes to Sportsmanship”, emphasizing the sense of belonging and unity, excluding fanaticism whether for Egyptians or Africans.WhatsApp Image 2020 11 18 at 8.05.41 AM 3

Practicalities

Any Confederation legally constituted and which aims to oversee a known or recognized sport discipline and which is also made up of at least (18) eighteen national federations affiliated to their respective international federations and wishes to become an AASC member shall submit an application duly signed by the President of the said association to the AASC Executive Bureau together with the membership fees.
